Who is responsible for your data
GoldFireStoves manufactures outdoor stoves and fire products and operates this website. Our factory and export office are at Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. What we collect when you send an inquiry
The inquiry form asks for the information we need to prepare a quotation. Name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number are required; the rest is optional. When you submit the form we also record technical data that arrives with the request.
- Name, company or brand name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number
- Country or region, product interest, estimated quantity and the details you write in the message field
- The site language you were using and the page the inquiry was sent from
- The IP address and browser identification string of the device used to submit the form
This information is stored in our own database and sent by email to our sales team so that a person can answer you. We use it to reply to your request, prepare quotations and samples, and continue the resulting business correspondence. Nothing you send through this form is used for advertising.
What we record while you browse
We measure how the website is used so we can see which product pages are useful and where visitors get stuck. This measurement runs on our own servers — there is no advertising network, no social media tracker and no data broker involved.
- Pages viewed, the order they were viewed in and how long each page stayed open
- The website or campaign link that brought you here, including any campaign parameters in the address
- Browser language, time zone and screen size
- An approximate country derived from your IP address
Cookies
Two first-party cookies support the measurement described above. Both are set by this website only, cannot be read by other sites, and are not accessible to scripts in your browser.
- woodvora_visitor — recognises a returning browser so repeat visits are not counted as new visitors. Stored for up to 12 months.
- woodvora_visit_session — groups the pages of a single visit together. Expires 30 minutes after your last page view.
No cookie on this site is used for advertising or profiling. You can delete both at any time through your browser settings, and you can block them entirely; the website continues to work normally without them.
Preventing abuse of the inquiry form
We record the IP address of every attempt to submit the inquiry form and limit how many attempts one address can make in a short period. This is the only way to keep the form usable without exposing our sales team to automated spam.
Legal grounds for using this data
Where the GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following grounds. Handling an inquiry and the correspondence that follows it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and afterwards to perform it. Website measurement and abuse prevention rest on our legitimate interest in operating a functioning, secure business website — you can object to the measurement at any time, and we will stop it for you.
Who else can see your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. It is visible to our own staff who handle inquiries, and it passes through two service providers that make the website work: the company hosting our server, and the mail provider that delivers the inquiry notification to our sales inbox. Both act on our instructions only. We will also disclose data if a law that binds us requires it.
Where your data is stored
Our servers and our sales team are located in the People's Republic of China. If you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your data is therefore transferred outside that area to a country for which no adequacy decision exists. We state this plainly so you can take it into account before sending an inquiry. If you would rather not have your details stored this way, contact us by telephone or through your own trading agent instead.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are kept while the business relationship, a possible repeat order or a warranty question can still make them relevant, and are deleted when you ask us to. Website measurement records are deleted automatically after 400 days by a scheduled nightly job. Abuse-prevention records are short-lived and cover only a recent window of submission attempts.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or receive it in a portable form. Write to sales@goldfirestoves.com and we will answer. If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of the country you live in.
We have not appointed a representative in the European Union. If that changes, this policy will name them here.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we update this page and the date shown above. The version published here is always the one that applies.
